Pic du Midi planetology station

Limited to the 1m telescope, the Pyrenees Planetology Station includes a camera from the Cabernet network (J. Vaubaillon - Pégase team) as well as a FRIPON camera. The 1m telescope is the subject of an agreement between the Observatoire de Midi-Pyrénée (OMP - owner of the telescope and dome) and the Observatoire de Paris (IMCCE and LESIA, owners of the instrumentation). Over the last 10 years, the telescope has been given a facelift (in terms of control and instrumentation). It is a versatile telescope that is used for transient phenomena. It is equipped with excellent instrumentation, including the SOVAG spectrograph developed by the ACMé team. It also has a low-noise camera for long exposures and a fast camera. A new fast infrared camera developed within the team (J. Dubouil's thesis) is now installed on the telescope.

All Solar System objects are studied: near-Earth asteroids, double asteroids, comets, planets and their satellites, as well as trans-Neptunian objects.
